Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

2023. The End.

Took the Christmas decs down today, now we can concentrate next week on our holiday, and Archie going to the vet, with maybe treatment needed, and me going to cardiology...  I have to be ready to reserve seats (for free) 24 hours before departure, and I will also request assistance at Doha airport, 7 days before arrival. I think it's quite big, and long distances to walk.

I took Archie round the Links this morning, but actually there were too many dogs, and sometimes I cut across the grass, not using the paths. Bad idea. Shoes caked in mud.so this time we walked round the road, some different smells for him.

Watched the New Year fireworks in Auckland and Sydney. All bets are off for seeing them just down the end of the road here at the castle. I haven't seen in a New Year for many a decade...

It was a lovely day, and so we went out round the graveyard later to catch the last of the sun. Archie is quite sprightly, running around, but still insisting on being cuddled every time we sit down, which is fine by me, because it means I have to sit there for ages, with my coffee, phone, remote etc being passed to me...

We're popping over to Hazel's for a little soirée, but I don't think it'll last till midnight. In fact, I'm sure of that.

Wishing all blippers a very happy 2024, which I know is kind of impossible, but one can wish...
