They arrived at 10:00 a.m. We were told by our contractor they’d be here at 8:30. Our phone rang at 8:20 to let us know the contractor, Hilario, was not getting any response when he phoned Juan the cabinet man. We never learned what had gone wrong, but about 9:20 we were notified that they would be here in about 20 minutes.

Juan and his son arrived; a short time later Hilario arrived to check-in. He stayed a short time and then had to get to another job he was doing south of here in Santa Maria.

We honestly thought the cabinet job would be a simple, brief install. Never! The cabinet man and his son exited here at 7:30. p.m. They will be back Monday to install the sink, faucet, and cabinet pulls to complete the job.

The cabinet man is also doing the plumbing and that is what caused the serious time consumption at the end of the day. Something was dripping, leaking, and that took lots of time and even a quick run to the hardware store for a part to fix and stop the dripping water.

Construction, what an ordeal! That was our Saturday.
