The Royal Barn

Another day hunkered down in front of the fire, although a lot of the snow and ice has begun to clear.

Indeed, my stroll down to The Royal Barn to meet Hugo for a couple of post-work drinks was thankfully uneventful :-)

And then the Minx drove us down to Salford for dinner at Porta where we were joined by Yoss and, later, Hannah, on her way back from yoga.

By coincidence, Simon was also there with a chap called Paul Groom. Many, many years ago, during the Golden Age of Twitter (early 2010s), Paul and I were good online friends but until this evening I'd never met him in person. What a treat!
