Heron visit 3

I wonder what this heron knows that I don’t. Here it is, back again in a matter of days. Perhaps the frogs are on their way for their annual mating frenzy, although that is usually mid February. Maybe it was seeking the shelter of our garden as it was a bit wild down by the loch.
It was a good day for me as I managed to complete a number of jobs around the house, including a bit more grooming for Bertie. 
It is still windy here on west coast Scotland and the forecast is for it to continue for at least another twenty-four hour, affecting all the ferries to and from the islands.
