Everyday I Write The Book

Talking heads

Frank Auerbach at the Courtauld Gallery in London. Lessons in deep rooted pain and the ability of some artists to revisit the same works endlessly in search of answers. Auerbach lost his family in the Holocaust and survived thanks to the kindertransport scheme. Now in his 90s he is still working.

Went to the exhibition with my old friend P. who is herself an accomplished artist. We had a good natter and ended up in The Scooter Bar in lower marsh.
