New Life at the Creek

No one was in a hurry to start the day. We acted like old retired folks! But the wonderful sunshine and mild temps lured us outside after lunch. There have been wind and rain storms here lately. That always brings sea glass up from the soil and sand. It felt great to get in a good walk and we were quite successful in our hunt - a future blip. There were so many plants springing up from the sand beach. And we saw evidence of young animals going to the creek for a drink. These pinkish red buds grow into tall bushes that make walking on this part of the beach impossible. We were happy we got down there this visit. The small yellow flowers are Lesser Celandine according to Seek. We are not sure we’ve been to the creek when they’ve been in bloom. The breeze is picking up. It is supposed to be much cooler the rest of the week. Another fine day on the ridges. Hubby worked on his to do list. He met with the guys that are going to help him with the Knights’ event on Saturday to make sure they are prepared. They anticipate 100 Knights and some spouses to attend. In my younger days, I would have spent months creating decorations for the dining area and tables. My sister would help me and we received rave reviews. It was such a relief to hand over all my supplies to the younger generation. I hope you are able to off load work that others can do for you. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by.
