Diary of an Edinburgher

Progress!

Archie slept soundly all night! First for about a month...

I rang the vet in the morning (again) about the test results. They rang back about 5pm... the lab estimate results in seven working days, which of course don't include weekends. Would have been easier to have been told this in the first place...

Today, I took a notion to go into town with the intention of buying an item of clothing I'd spotted online. This is extremely unusual. And I was there and back in record time! Purchase-less. I didn't like the item when I saw it. As I walked along, thinking of popping in to get some licorice instead, I saw my bus at the lights. I had to make a quick decision - Licorice or home without hanging about? I rushed down the road, and got to the stop in time!

I kept my coat on when I got home, and asked Archie a couple of times if he'd like to go out. No thanks. On the third offer, he did jump up and we went out in the gentle mizzle. I had intended just walking round the block, so that he didn't get too muddy, but he really really wanted to go over to the Links. And he was quite frisky in among the daffodils and dashing back to me for a wee treat. The grass area there was so gluggy - it's like a quagmire. Though the rain isn't heavy it's been persistent for a couple of days.

Archie got really muddy, so had to have another bath when he came home. His wound looks clean and dry, but he really doesn't want anyone touching it, or near it.

Fingers crossed for a peaceful night...

BIG (rugby) day tomorrow.
