Roll With It

Not Good - But Useful

Today was an ‘out & about’ day, car first.
Having closed the bonnet on my oil filler cap and broken it I headed off to the breakers yard. There are two of them side by side out near Carharrack, in the past you wouldn’t have given them a thought as you pitched up to scavenge a replacement part but nowadays you look at the environmental impact of decades of car fluids leeching into the ground and think “oh dear”.
Nevertheless £3 for a £10 part is not to be sniffed at.

Next stop Perranporth to visit one of our more elderly Royal Naval Association members in their care home. I pulled up outside and then noticed the ambulance and a van with tinted windows. The receptionist confirmed my suspicions with a; “sorry this is not a good time”.
A pasty at Lanner before heading back to Falmouth to wash and hoover out the car, it looks more like a car than a skip now.

Next stop The Point for a coffee and to finish my book before heading home.
Productive day.
