A new pet?

To while away the hours while both Nick and the car were being serviced, I visited the Braehead shopping centre, a new experience for me. While there, a young child walked past me holding onto a small dinosaur which walked obediently behind. I wish I had been quick enough to capture the shot but boy and dinosaur had disappeared before I got my phone out of my pocket. Later in the day, having seen a few more children with a variety of balloon pets on leads, I found the source. The great range of creatures are actually foil balloons with very cleverly designed springy legs and feet which enable the “pet” on a lead to walk behind its owner in a very realistic manner. Whatever next?
It was a long day and the weather was pretty dismal making driving my freshly serviced car back along the M8 in heavy rain quite unpleasant. I had a few more anxious hours to wait to get news of Nick but we eventually managed to speak on the phone during the evening and all seems to be well. I’m looking forward to seeing him tomorrow.
