Busy

It was a significant day at our church today. Not just because it was Pentecost but also because we read out an edict announcing a congregational vote in a fortnight’s time on the proposed union with two neighbouring congregations.

We have been worshipping together every third Sunday of the month. As this occurred today we each had to read out the edict for each congregation. As my colleague from one of the other churches said, we could probably recite the wording the final time.

Now that after nearly two years of discussion we can begin the formal process, lots of papers and information need to be issued so a fair bit of admin was undertaken. Just like being back at the office!

The haar lingered well into the afternoon so I did not feel I was missing out on the sunshine. Fortunately, late on, it turned into a warm and sunny afternoon.

On a dog walk I saw that the bees were living up to their reputation of being busy too.
