Sunday races

The rain held off till later this afternoon so I was able to get down to the waterfront to watch some of the races today. Canada won this race and there was a cheer went up from both sides of the harbor. Overall they were 6th. Great Britain, France and Denmark won gold, silver and bronze.

I went to a different location today, where I had a better view of the races. I left when the rain started, plus I had things to do here at home. A friend posted a short video clip on FB of the Australian boat, they took one of the turns too fast and they flipped the boat. No one was hurt but the crew did go for a swim in the Halifax Harbor.

My garage door is fixed!! The owner messaged me on Friday to say her handyman would be here today. He showed up around 5:30. I thought he had changed his mind about working today. It will only open now using the garage door opener, so the house is secure again. He has started working on the lower deck too, it needs to be levelled, one corner has been sinking.
