Poppies

Some poppies are growing in a client's garden. I think she may have scattered some seeds a couple of years ago. They appeared last year and again this year.

After we did the weeding at a couple of places today we started working on another big project. After building this garden almost 15 years ago, and I was involved in it then, now the client has decided to make the garden smaller.  Some plants have already found a new home, she had some friends come in and dig what they wanted out of one area. There were several shrubs that she wanted removed, they were too big to move. That got done today. Next step will require a visit and a glass of wine while we decide where the new border of the garden will be.

The client lives close to the ocean, it is less than 1 km from her house to the ocean, you can see it from her front deck, and you can hear the sound of the waves. When we arrived around 10 am, it was foggy and 15 C. By the time we left at 3 pm, the fog had burned off and the temperature was up to 21 C. Comfortable temperatures for working. When I got back into the city, the temperature was 26 C and humidex had it feeling like 30 C. What a difference a few kilometers can make!
