Front, Middle, Back

We had yet another quiet day. Hubby was up before 6; I moseyed out of bed at 8. I found a nest of hornets living under a tree by hubby’s shed but they really were not photogenic. My sister called needing some fresh parsley for her crab cakes. She planted a dozen or so bunches but they all died. Their new air conditioner arrived today and they asked hubby to help install it. He and I were both delighted; they never ask for help and we often need a hand from them. We cut the parsley and headed to Piney. Of course, my help was not needed - can’t lift, use a screwdriver, etc. So as usual, I gladly had Sugar duty. It took all three of them to disassemble the device, put it in the hole in pieces and reassemble it. They got the a/c installed with only had a few issues, one being the cord was too short without adding a cut out to move it closer to the plug. Oh my. I looked around my sister’s property. They do such a good job with their gardens and colorful buildings. And I love walking near the creek to see what wildlife may be there. Only saw an osprey but it was too high in the sky for a pic. We collected veggies and homemade pizza sauce and headed to our next stop at a friend’s home. Then hubby bought me a small peach blizzard to try to settle my tummy. I guess my reflux is revolting with my homegrown tomato intake. We stopped at Kim’s to visit and feed Shadow. She hopped on my lap for head scratches, how she loves them. (Kim and family just got home safely at 6:00 pm.) After a brief nap, we went to 5:00 pm Mass. This week, we’ve lost two friends who go to that same Mass. Bill, also a KofC, worked with my sister for many years. He’s been unsteady on his feet and apparently fell off a ladder. His fiancé passed two weeks ago. Ellen’s death was also unexpected. Sad news. Hubby is making us homemade pizza for dinner. We are supposed to get rain with the thunderstorms that are in our area. We’ll see. Hope your week was void of bad news. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit. “Almost every day brings opportunities to perform unselfish acts for others. Such acts are unlimited and can be as simple as a kind word, a helping hand, or a gracious smile.” - James E. Faust
