Not Sold On A Summer Polar Bear, Rye

Today started off with another run. It was gloriously sunny but without the humidity so we ran for a wee bit longer and added a hill to make it a bit tougher. We were both a bit knackered at the end but still glad we'd done it.
As the weather was looking on the good side we decided to head to Rye for a walk around and a light lunch. After a bit of trouble finding a parking space we headed straight to the Standard Inn for some food. We decided to share some light bites -  Korean glazed chicken wings, ham hock and dill croquettes and a portion of fries. Of course, the perfect accompaniment was a pint of Asahi lager each. The food was delicious and set us up nicely for our stroll around the town. With the main image I just loved how incongruous this huge polar bear looked in the shop window on a warm summer's day. Then the seagull walked into the frame and gave me the side eye as if it was thinking "what the hell is that doing here?!". Incidentally, the bear was not proving very attractive to potential customers - it was on offer for £750 (reduced form £1,250).
With the second image, "Relaxing Into The Graveyard Shift", I spotted this man having a quiet reading session in the strong sunshine. He seemed very engrossed in his book. The last image is of the reflections in the the window of one of the ice cream parlours that dot the main drag through the town. A good day!
