Spanish thistles

Our walk today was along part of the Boada la Navas canal, and then a drive to our next overnight stay - noting bee-eaters on the telephone wires on our way!  We're staying in the Aguilar de Campoo monastery and it's quite a place.  Our room is one of the nun's cells, a great little room with the bed up the stairs and with no air-conditioning, but after a 3-course evening meal perhaps we won't notice the heat.
