Autumn Clematis

We were up at 6:00 and in the car at 8:00. Our new cooler is spacious but with a frozen turkey breast, chicken, ribs, bbq pork, burger, and “the rest of our refrigerator”, it’s quite heavy. I made sure to get a photo of my new clematis that’s just started to bloom. Obviously, I need to find a larger trellis for it as it’s taken over the perennial garden by the garage. We made one pit stop in Western MD and had lunch in LaVale. Hubby asked what I was hungry for. I said, “not Mexican since we had that several days last week and not a burger because we’re having them tomorrow.” We went to Applebees and what did I get? Their quesadillas burger. Whew! But it was tasty and enough to share half with hubby. Traffic has been pretty light for a Friday. We just crossed the WV state line (4:10 pm). We only saw one incident: a U-Haul truck ran off the road and seemed to bounce off the guardrail. But the driver regained control and took the next exit to assess any damage. My sister says it is bone dry at the farm; we’ll conserve water during our stay. We should be there by 5:00 to start a peaceful but busy birthday weekend for hubby. Hope your weekend is a delight. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit. “In woven clematis bloom sits the pergola, as if it dared to step forth from the pages of a fairytale.” - Angela Abraham,
