After Helen, Rose and I visited, I drove Rose to her lakeside abode and spent the night. She said she was a late sleeper which gave me license to sleep in and I caught up on missing sleep - bliss.
Rose and I had a grand time lingering over breakfast, walking around the town (wildly changed since we used to come here when I was a child) and generally having a laugh! We even had ice cream (moose-a-licious!). It was great just to hang out in the autumnal sunshine.
Later on I enjoyed driving on the highway back to Edmonton, listening to Corb Lund and singing along. There’s nothing quite like singing loudly when no one can hear you - very therapeutic!
I’ve included a number of extras, including a few shots of bumper stickers showing that the Alberta redneck is alive and well. Some things never change!
