Teacher

Went through to Barrow this morning to meet Stu for a coffee. Whilst I was there, he asked me to record a vocal line on a song he’s been developing for a little while now. It’s basically autobiographical, and I was to supply the voice of the cynical and sarcastic teacher who told him he’d never go far if all he did was play guitar. Cynical and sarcastic are my strengths, so I was happy to oblige. Nailed it on take two (subsequent takes were deemed too sarcastic!)
Finally got round to changing my car insurance this afternoon. Renewal quote was nigh on £500 but a bit of internet comparing found identical cover for half the price. Phoned the original insurers to confirm cancellation and they confessed they could not get anywhere near that!
Finally attending a rehearsal for “Made in Dagenham” tonight. I’m mainly shifting scenery and props - and what is involved in that will only become fully apparent at Tech rehearsal next Sunday - but I also have a small walk on part, with half a dozen lines. Which I have never spoken in anger, so tonight will be a learning process for everyone!
And, yes, the dodgy looking moustache is because it’s set in the 1960s and I’m nothing if not method!
