Ailie at Cragside

Today Ailie and I had a 5.5 mile walk in Cragside. We’d intended going to the coast but her ex was quite poorly and as their daughter had meetings all day she had to deal with him so it was easier to stay local.

It was a lovely day and the autumn colours were still good but I liked the way the house stood out on this one.

Some of the paths we chose were quite steep and on slippy stones hewn out of the hillside. We had a lovely catch-up.

Then I heard about Jenny’s expensive 6 day river cruise on the Danube. It’s done her the world of good. It was with a US company so the other cruisers were American or Canadian with only a few other nationalities. It would not be my cup of tea, especially the Trump supporters which made up the US people she met. It’s so scary.

Mr C found me a great deal for my mobile phone. But now he’s trying to make it work. I might be some time without a phone!

Covid jabs tomorrow. Fingers crossed for no side effects as we have a lot on the next day.
