This one is for the camera!

This is last years camera, where it put on a mighty 147,000 fotos for the project, this year it was meant to be the back up camera. Meant to be. The new camera failed in the first two days of the 2013 project and this little old Canon 400D took over again.

Today(!!!) finally the 50D turned up again to take on it's duty as no1 camera, and the 400D can once again become the backup camera. This time with a healthy 310-320k exposures on the clock! I would hazard a guess that this 400D is now in the top 100 used 400Ds made, and probably top 50 surviving cameras as they are getting a bit old.

The shutter button is pretty much knackered though - but still works!

Even if the 50D survives the rest of the year, this 400D gets retired to a cabinet. I will not Ebay this guy.

Anyway, what a day - the 50D arrived back, and there I was busy snapping away on the pass, thoroughly enjoying the camera, and then I got a call about the server in the hotel that we use - disk error on the main drive - 167k photos not wanting to play ball. So dropped everything and very quickly bought a drive to back up to. If it does fail, there is no way that I'm not having a live backup ready to go!
