Masked Lapwing
A new one on me, and thus a blip worthy image.
We had Ivy for the day - school being in an in-service hiatus - but by the time we'd done the meet and greet, looked at the almost finished kitchen and gone for lunch at the farm shop, the light was almost gone.
Nipping into Slimbridge for a late wander, we found this (female?) masked lapwing; a bird I'd not seen there before. A native of Australia, as I'm sure some will know.
The builders are off site for a week again (hopefully just a week this time), so I get to paint the rest of the kitchen. I think the electricians and plumbers are in next week too, so we might even be able to do a wash... whoo-hoo!
