Bailgate Wreath Festival

Every December the Bailgate St Mary Magdalene church hold this little festival displaying wreaths created by local organisations and businesses in the area. It's only open for an hour or so per day, and today Brian and I went up the hill to get our blip shots there.

Once again there was a great variety of wreaths on display. They all looked really good but I didn't manage to get decent shots of some of the better ones. This is my favourite of the photos I took. I like this wreath made by a little independent clothes shop, mainly because of the tiny, cute bobble hats!

I've included an extra of a stand at the rear of the church with a display of shoes donated by some of the victims of domestic violence helped by the church's parish safeguarding team, to raise awareness of the work they do.

Otherwise today, we've been shopping (again!), wrapped presents and made sure we are as organised as we can be.

I made some mulled wine this evening too, with some Cabernet Sauvignon wine that was so strong that one glass had me kaylied on Saturday. Mulled though, it's perfect!
