Based on the photo, can you guess where I spent time today?  If you guessed the dentist, you’re right. I’ve had a terrible toothache since last week and was finally able to get in to see him. It looks like I need a root canal and will see an endodontist in a couple of days. How fitting to end the year like this!

There was a 5.8 earthquake in Reno yesterday. My brother didn’t have any damage, but he was in an awkward position when it happened. He has an inversion table and was hanging upside down when the earthquake hit. He told me the experience was “interesting.“  You just have to laugh at something like that. I can picture him upside down watching the lights above him sway. :-)

Two friends were walking their dogs on Christmas Day, a Dalmatian and a Chihuahua—when a tantalizing aroma from a nearby restaurant caught their attention.
The Dalmatian’s owner suggested, “Let’s grab a bite to eat.”
“We can’t go in there with the dogs,” responded the Chihuahua’s owner. “Just follow my lead”, the first friend said, slipping on a pair of sunglasses and heading into the restaurant.
“Sorry,” the owner said, “no pets allowed.”
“Not even at Christmas? It’s my guide dog.”
“A Dalmatian?” the owner questioned. “Yes, they’re using them now,” he replied confidently.
“Very well, then, come on in,” the owner conceded. Seeing this, the second man donned his sunglasses and attempted the same trick.
“Sorry, no pets allowed,” the owner repeated.
“But it’s my guide dog the second man insisted”.
“A Chihuahua?” the owner asked skeptically.
Shocked, the man exclaimed, “A Chihuahua?! They gave me a Chihuahua?”
