A good place to rest awhile.

Got home early enough to take a half hour walk. My photo for today is of an adult male Eurasian blackbird.  They were introduced by English settlers in the early days of the colonisation of Aotearoa. Maori named them Manu pango; the literal translation being bird black.


The extra is of another bird, with specs of red amongst the dark plumage
