Life's Little Moments

Hilarity

I belong to a couple of dog photography groups on FB and I've seen quite a few people doing these fun shots with their dogs "unwrapping" themselves.  When I was in town, I bought the cheapest big roll of wrapping paper I could find and then when I got home, I enlisted Hubs to help me get some shots.  I taped a big hunk of the paper in a doorway with adequate light and then I punched a small hole at about dog-snout level. Said dog was suspicious and uncooperative ... until Hubs broke out some treats.  So there was Hubs next to the dog, carefully leaning over my wrapping paper wall and trying to get Jax to put his head through.  I got some hilarious shots, although none as I envisioned.  I am definitely going to try this again, but next time I will use a longer lens from further away to try to get better focus on Jax.

I will put a couple of funny outtakes in Extra.  I'm trying to work out how I could get Charlie to participate in this.  He's not terribly treat motivated, so not sure he'd go for putting his head through the paper although you know I am going to have to try.  Stay tuned.

It's in the high 40's today so I will try to get Jax out for a walk before it gets dark.   Right now he is dreaming which involves some growls and woofs - cutest thing ever.

Dark with cayenne again today.
