Frohe Weihnachten!

Following German tradition, and in particular my Lutheran upbringing, the Christmas tree is not put up until Christmas Eve. So, at lunchtime today, I brought it into the house and decorated it, and less is more, in my opinion.
Anyway, we are having a rather chilled evening. We spent all morning peeling vegetables, setting tables and getting ready for the big lunch tomorrow. Like we have done for many years, we volunteer cooking and serving Christmas Day lunch to the homeless or anyone who is lonely. Last year we ended up serving 70 covers of a three-course meal. All good is donated. Really looking forward to it!
