I spent the morning doing jobs around the house including the dusting and vacuuming I intended to do yesterday after I’d put the Christmas decorations away.

I really felt like another restful afternoon but the sky was blue, the sun shining and there was snow on the fells.

Not knowing what conditions underfoot might be like I walked from home, past the shops and through the park. Then over the bridge and turned right onto the Under Loughrigg road. It’s not too long before views open up to the right. In the main is Wansfell Pike and the extra shows the Fairfield Horseshoe and Red Screes.
