The end of another beautiful day

It's been hot today, in the 30s C but a great day nonetheless. Spent the morning in the garden tidying up, mowing what passes for grass, tying up the tomatoes, and picking blackcurrants. Then made some raspberry jam from out own canes (a birthday present from Christopher) After lunch spent some time revision again for the railway.

In the evening we decided to have a barbeque and I found some old sausages in the freezer (Sept 2012) which we had with griddled courgette, (receipe courtesy of blipper KJD) the last of the broadbeans, new potatoes, griddled left over potatoes (all from the allotment) and griddled tomatoes. The sausages were hot and fiery chilli variety from that well known supermarket. We survived the experience.

Finally before the shopping came (from that well known supermarket) we went for an evening stroll - partly to water the courgettes at the allotment - where we saw these crepuscular rays bringing to an end yet another lovely day.
