Cold

It was very chilly in the wind today and positively cold in the pottery when I dropped in after taking Jamie to a 9am appointment.  What I found there certainly warmed me up.   The first pieces using my new glaze all came out really well, this one a real WOW!   The technique and the combination of glazes is widely practiced, the implementation of it determines the ultimate result.  I am happy that I have cracked it .... the technique not the bowl!

A windy walk with C and the Megs followed.  We were lucky, sunshine and showers were forecast.  The sunshine all came at one go in the morning.   By the time I got back to Tywyn the showers were packing in.  I returned to pottery to finish something off and came away with the beginnings of two more bowls which are lined up for similar treatment to the above.

An afternoon of admin and chores before cooking a nice tea which will feed me for two more days as well.  I also started off the next batch of my ginger marmalade which, with  the ginger now added, will marinate overnight before I add the sugar tomorrow.  There's plenty more admin on the list but I'm going to spend the remains of the day watching When Louis Met ... while fettling pots.
