Keeping An Eye Out For A Ready Made Chicken Suit
The grey pall had descended again today so to be honest I had to force myself out the door for our usual morning run. The rest of the morning was spent mostly catching up on chores - washing up the masses of dishes from last night's dinner which nobody else had bothered to clear up, putting a huge wash on and then getting it all out again later. Oh the joys!
I must admit I still wasn't in the best of moods when we headed out later for some essential shopping - well if you can call purchasing mango chutney for tonight's dinner and a new wine glass essential! Of course we thought we deserved a quick pint after such an arduous retail experience.
We were going to head straight back home but then the sun finally made an appearance and I persuaded my brother to take the short trip into town for a walk and in the hope of capturing another street image.
I wasn't having a great deal of luck until I spotted this depiction of a huge chicken's head in a fast food joint's window opposite a suit shop on the other side of the street (I imagined the chicken contemplating a change from its usual feathery apparel!) and I loved the juxtaposition. It was missing another element until the young chap you can see on the right hand side of my image strode into shot. Ideally I would have liked him to be wearing a a brighter colour to match the chicken's colouring but at least one of the mannequins is sporting an orange tie!
