we pass GO and collect £200..and roll again

was nice not to wake up to the alarm this morning. still woke early doors, but at a nice leisurely pace.

off out for a walk to the wood first thing thing with Pete. Really nice and warm, and a lovely breeze thankfully.

after off shopping with mum and then lunch at hers, with Pierre there too. we introduce her to You Tube!! all good fun!

back to Monopoly and yesterday i threw 11 that took me to GO, the end of my first lap!, so we are off again, and todays roll lands on the City Ground! the home of Nottingham Forest FC!

The ground lies on the bank of the River Trent, and on the opposite side is Meadow Lane, home to the oldest football league club, Notts County (also on the monopoly board!).

I've enjoyed many a Forest season. I remember my first game going with my bro and Dad to watch them play Birmingham, late 70's when they'd won the league and got the trophy. Also the back to back European Cup wins, when we'd listen on the 'stereo' to Radio Nottinghams commentary. My Forest heroes were John Robertson, the number 11, with white tape on his socks! loved him, the tricky winger.

Then, when i was flush enough to own a season ticket for a couple of seasons, my hero was Psycho. Stuart Pearce. Legend! i remember being sat with Li in our seats in the Exec Stand, and the ball coming at us, and Psycho bellowed 'bet that woke you up din't it?!'....we were both like jelly!

Today, the opening day of the season, and Forest were home to Huddersfield. I got here just after 3pm KO, and it was funny being at the side of the ground, with probably nearly 30K people in there hearing the ooo's and the aaaah's, and also watching folks watching the match through gaps in the fence!!!

took pics and then off to Lenton Flats to take some pics too.

home, and a well deserved San Miguel sat outside, and then chilling with Paella for dinner. How many more Saturdays will be as warm as this?!!

Rolling the dice again for tomorrow....

P.s....Forest won 1-0! good start to the 2013/14 campaign
