Evidence of previous owners
There are lots of odd quirky relics of previous owners dotted around our weekend accommodation. I blipped this coats of arms (one of many at the hotel) just before we left for our journey back to Edinburgh this morning.
Our sleep was disturbed last night by a hotel guest who had locked himself out of his room. We have no idea why he thought that banging on the bedroom doors of other guests at 2:00am would help him! This meant that I was super-tired this morning. I tried to fix this with a lie-down at home at lunchtime, but to no avail.
This afternoon I visited the supermarkets with Mr hazelh, brewed soup (red pepper, tomato, and basil), prepared a sprout bake for supper, wrote a letter of condolence to a friend who is mourning the death of her husband, and made a list of the items that I need to take with me when I travel down to Newcastle tomorrow to visit Mummy hazelh.
Now that a week has passed since my cataract operation, I no longer have to wear eye protectors in bed - hurrah! I will also be down to one set of eye drops four times a day from tomorrow.
Exercise today: small amount of walking (8,831 steps). I will make up for this tomorrow.
