Hellebores
We had a day with no commitments and decided to use it wisely. We spent the morning getting quotes in case I decide to buy a new car. It will be my last car and I would like to have a few years to enjoy it. Plus, I would like to get it before Maryland passes a proposed tax hike that will cost me an additional $3,000. Siennas are popular so gone are the days of negotiating deep discounts. Our local dealer is even adding $4,995 to MSRP prices. We have found better deals. Hubby and I worked outside for hours even though temps did not get into the 60°s F as forecast. The gardens look neater now. We planted this new hellebore that was the gift from my sister that I mentioned a few days ago. She’d also given me a sedum and it is planted as well. She is so thoughtful. She knows how sad I was when my other hellebore died last year. We replaced some unattractive grasses with red hot poker. Sure hope they attract orioles or more hummers. We got rid of the yard waste, put away all the tools and came inside for a very late lunch/early dinner. I have had to retype this journal twice so you are getting a shorter version. Our work day is over. Wishing you a productive day like ours. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. “Some gifts are big. Others are small.
