Sherwood Forest - a bargain at £60!!

it's the equivalent of Whitechapel Road (Old Kent Roads neighbour!). It's funny how these things work out, off to Brum today, but have a meeting with a customer in Worksop at 5pm (to take some photos), and when i looked at the old monopoly board last night for my next move, Sherwood Forest is on it!

So rather than face the M1 Southbound at 6pm on a Friday (Northbound on the journey up was bad enough!), i took the scenic route home and paid only the 2nd visit of my life to the Major Oak. The visitors centre at Sherwood Forest was shut, but the walks to the Oak open...and (in work shoes) 20 mins to the Major Oak, and 20 mins back!

still, to capture this stunning tree without anyone near it, was more than worth it...I'd have paid £60 for it!

prior to this mission, i'd spent a good day in Brum, and had a rare and lovely lunch with the very glamourous Mrs Fergusson! (Ok...it was only a sandwich from Monty and we ate it in the staff room, but it was lovely!). I left there at 3pm, and train back to Derby and then off to Worksop to the customers premises for pics.

after the Oak, i was homeward bound, with my boy and a glass (or two) of red awaiting me!
