If you can't beat them...

Solace Day 6.

Unusually we were aiming to be back at the marina a day early and with time to have the pump out, diesel topped up and the water tank filled.

A lovely day so we stopped for lunch more or less where we moored the first night.  One of the joys of being on the canals for me is the wildlife is so used to boats that they more or less ignore you.  Once a young heron sat on a bay-wash at a lock while we operated the lock and 4 teenagers walked past.

While we were moored this Greylag ( Anser anser ) decided it was bath time.  In some of my shots you could barely tell there was a bird there, head and shoulders under water and the rest of the body hidden by splashes.
