Stepping Stones
I was on The Chase by 6:00 am with a view to walking with cameras as the sun rose. There was a slight mist hanging over the local pools but nothing to offer anything atmospheric to lend to an image.
After a while I swapped over to my infrared camera as the sun got higher. I know for many they don't like the effect of IR on landscape scenes but I wanted to experiment and even set the camera to monochrome so I could judge the tonal range of the images I was taking. I chose this, of one of the stepping stone crossings in Sherbrooke Valley as the main picture.
The other reason for the walk was to test the Achilles again. The climb of Steel Fell last week gave me some hope that it at least recovers quickly. I'm not sure today's walk will be the same. The soles of my feet were sore from the constant walking over the uneven surface of sand and stone and the tendon was very sore by the time I had completed the 10 miles.
