The View From The Bridge….

…… is looking out over Riverside Park on today’s cloudy morning. The well-known Raupo Cafe is behind the trio of Phoenix Palms.
I extended my early walk by a kilometer by sidetracking to the Couplands Bakery to buy my favourite bread. I carried the two loaves home in a plastic bag and used a second bag to pick up windfall Feijoas on the way. I am, at heart, a forager. A busy day, buying pet food, delivering excess Feijoas to a friend. Visited friend Lynette. She had family visiting her.. It has been cloudy all day. So far we have got off lightly, weatherwise. There has been some appalling, wet, stormy weather in the northern areas of the North Island. Heavy rain, gales, flooding and power outages. Apparently some of this weather is coming our way.
