I used to work in retail.

It was always a simple concept.

The retailer buys enough stock to satisfy demand.

Demand is what the customer wants.

In my experience, we always sold more from the sales floor than the stock room!

My dear sister has enough on her plate right now so when her local store had no black jumpers in my nephew's size, she called me for help.

It may well be her local store had the item in the stock room because that's where they were when I enquired.

So now my nephew has a black jumper for Monday.

And don't worry dear sister, after I took the blip I hung it up in the back of the car so I don't forget it!
