(Non) Sleeping Beauty

And it was all going so well with nursery....

But if there was ever going to be a sticking point, it was going to be Audrey's sleep and today we found it.

Audrey will only sleep in a dark, quiet room in a cot or a moving car (on a motorway) at a push.

At the nursery, she is expected to sleep on a mat in only a half dark room surrounded by other children (some awake and playing) with nursery nurses chatting close by.

This was never going to work (easily).

And it didn't.

At 12.30 they admitted defeat and said it might be best if I took her home and we'd try again next week. She fell straight to sleep in her cot the minute I got her home.

I am trying to remain hopeful but something tells me this could be a long road..
