3D holiday photo album

Or possibly best described as 'how to waste 5 hours of your life!'

Best viewed large (hit L on your keyboard)

Started off as a fairly simple concept. Take a picture of a photo album on a table top. Add some background and surface to make it look like the big outdoors and then copy and paste some memorable sights/objects from the holiday to Germany to create a pop-up album.

Nothing wrong with the concept, but extracting all of these images from the holiday photos has been a nightmare. So much so that I have had to give in for now which is why the right hand page is a bit lacking. If I get time in the next few days I will try to add to it, but if not, you will just have to forgive me. I think you get the idea. Updated a little on Saturday morning, so that is now 6 hours of my life!

As for the content:

Left Hand Side

Elephants taken in Luxembourg city. They are all over the city as well as in Trier in Germany. It's all part of an effort to raise awareness and money to save the future of the African elephant. These two were my favourites

Beggar outside the cathedral in Trier. I have mixed feelings towards beggars. There are genuine cases, and I have seen them in China; people who have such issues, typically physically and in a country that offers little support. they have little option. Others? Who knows. Its so difficult to tell if their plight is genuine.

War memorial to those from the town of Saarburg who lost their life in the first world war. A lovely memorial and a reminder that its the general populace who pay the price for the greed or foolishness of those who are supposed to lead us and to know better.

Moorings which are placed at regular intervals along the banks of the Saar. Included here because Coral thought they were litter bins! Bless her.

Right Hand Side

Diana on her bike along the banks of the Saar. For someone who struggled to cover distance and tackle hills on a bike before we went away, she did very well. Couldn't leave her out of the album.

Street entertainers in Luxembourg. The best illusion I have ever witness first hand. The money was rolling in.

Spongebob Letterbox which was positioned outside a house in a little village outside Saarburg. Who says the Germans have no sense of humour.

Centre

Rowing on the Saar. There was a dragon boat race on the day we arrived and it went on all day with clubs from in and around Saarburg taking part. You would see people on the river every day. So nice to see people being active and involved in sport in the community.
