October.
We spent today in the Lakes as we wanted some preserving 'stuff' from Lakeland.
After shopping we headed to Blackwell, the Arts and Crafts House above Lake Windermere, for lunch. We visited twice last year so we didn't look around the house this time but had a lovely lunch of Quiche and Salad followed by Berry Roulade!
There was a clear view from the front over the Lake as the sun came out but the day definitely felt more autumnal and this seemed to be exemplified by this Rowan which had lost most of its leaves but still had some colourful berries against the white walls of the house. I also wanted to show the decorative arts and Crafts headers to the drain pipes which I featured on a previous blip.
Well worth a visit if you haven't been, the house and the cafe!
