The JCB digger has been
Great strides taken down at the allotment today. The long waited JCB arrived today and flattened the ugly heap adjacent to our plot ready for another set of sheds and a place for compost bins.
Previously this space was a dumping ground for all sorts of rubbish as well as the contents of the village pond, dumped there by the Parish Council as it was cheaper than having it taken away and disposed of properly. 11 sheds will be going along the back fence and one of those sheds will be for us.
And even better news, we can have some extra land to extend our plot. The land in the foreground where the pile of rubbish is currently part of a small plot under the shade of a large oak tree. We can have as much of this plot as we want! Great news.
Went swimming again this morning and then to the gym in the afternoon for more therapy on the knee. No pain now but still limited mobility. Walked a couple of miles on the treadmill but slowly. Will it ever get better?
