Rosy
Monday and the beginning of my last full week on the farm. Harvesting vegetables, weeding, feeding and the usual chores. In the morning I helped move the turkeys in the pasture as usual. Shooing off Rosy eager for our grain bucket. Distracting her with some left over carrots I smuggled in.
Rosy reminds me of a giant medieval steed, or perhaps one of the ancient horses of the steppe extinct since the last ice age. I can just picture her galloping, all 2500lbs of her across a battlefield with a knight in chain mail, lance in hand. Something out of a story book. Larger than life.
...and finally I think I found a photo to convey that impression. Meet Rosy.
