Laughter
...is what this photo speaks to me. Laughter and ease, a lightening of life. I have been busy on the farm. Busy getting the final edits prepared for the website, preparing for teaching the next three months in Ecuador so soon, and looking forward to seeing Meagan coming to visit next week. So much on my mind! A heavy monkey sitting on my shoulders chattering away in my head. Such needless chatter...
Today though everything suddenly lightened. I finished the edits for the site, done. Talked with my co-instructor in Ecuador, everything is gravy and nothing to worry until I arrive. Farm work is well farm work, check. And in only a few days I'll see Meagan again and we'll be off on all sorts of who knows adventures crossing North into Canada to spend a week together before leaving out of Vancouver. So all these imagined, yes imagined (we make them into burdens in our minds), well they are suddenly gone. Lifted and life is light, airy, and joyous again. As though it had somehow ceased to be? All in our minds...
I like this shot for its mood of joy and mirth, and for its personality. One flower seems to be shouting for attention, another surprised caught in some mischievous act, and then one is a shy recluse. Such characters on the farm!
