Friar Tuck

Just had a lovely birthday lunch with Angus at Manchester House. He's a real foodie so it was the perfect setting to celebrate.

The food was so incredible, I couldn't even begin to do it justice. We ate the chef Aiden Bryne's Great British Menu entries from the last BBC 2 series along with some surprise extra courses and it was truly stunning.

I'm not normally one for taking pictures of food but this was the exception. Today's blip pic was one of Aiden's winning dishes, the prawn cocktail (you smash the big ball like casing with a fork and it dissolves into the dish - the prawns were inside!)

We also drank a glass of wine to match each dish which ended Angus (he's not very good at daytime drinking) but I seem remarkably sober considering!

Home to a still poorly Audrey (in my Mum and Dad's care) although I do feel like she's starting to pick up as some of her mischief and humour was back at bath-time.

The last day of Angus's week off tomorrow. We have eaten and drunk like Friar Tuck this past week/month so will be good to get back into a normal routine again. Eaten up and spent up!
