They're changing Guard at Buckingham Palace

After a stroll from Westminster, along Whithall, across Horse Guards Parade, and through St James' Park, we arived at Buckingham Palace.

We had a great time watching three pelicans in St James' Park.
These characters had clearly learned how to work a crowd and were definitely posing for photographs!

They were happy enough for people to stand very close to them and they stood still while people took photos, befor moving to face the next camera.

The crowds at Buckingham Palace were huge. Too big for Mrs. P and I to be comfortable. We learned that the crowds were there to see The Changing of The Guard. We decided against standing in such a large crowd.

As we walked up The Mall, The Guards were marching towards The Palace.
So we probably saw as much as anyone else but without standing around for ages.
