Life through the lens...

A beautiful day!
Wall to wall sunshine, and quite mild.

The collage shows

This morning we had a walk to this ancient site, from the village of Warham, followed by lunch at The Three Horseshoes.
What a great old fashioned pub.
Poachers broth with crusty bread was delicious!

The lovely village sign is top right.

Then on to Wells-next-the-sea, and a walk through the woods to Holkham.
Along the way we spotted this little muntjac deer.
See top. middle.

Back along the beach, and past the beach huts.
See bottom right, along with a shot of the walk through the woods.

As we drove back the sun was starting to set, and the changing colours in the sky were spectacular. So we did a detour down to Blakeney Quay to take the photo bottom left. Actually it doesn't do it justice.

Called for more mussels on the way back, and so it is now off to make Moules Mariniere for tea.
( with a very nice white wine from southern Burgundy)

And so another beautiful day comes to an end.
Now looking forward to tomorrow!

Last night the steak and kidney pie was very tasty, a lovely glass of red wine for me, and small beer for MrC. followed by apple crumble,(Mr C) Sticky toffee pud. for me.
Superb food.
I love the way they always serve coffee with a bowl of Liquorice Allsorts!
