Hang on, I've got water in my ear ...

Lovely day for a Fossey walk.

Not such a nice day to be sat around waiting for someone to fix your broken boiler.

Yesterday

Sav reported the boiler at 9.15am, and again at 3pm ... I wouldn't have waited so long but anyway it would have made no difference. Why? Because the woman in the office of the renting agency that is responsible for our house chose to e-mail the electrician! Bizarre decision. Why would you use that method of communication when contacting a man who doesn't work in an office?!

He does return to some office somewhere at the end of his working day, which was about 7.30pm last night. He then saw the email, rang us for directions and came straight over.

Unfortunately tho, he's only an electrician and not a boiler specialist, so having checked the fuses and reporting that there is electricity getting to the boiler, there was nothing he could do!

Today

Almost midday and still no word ... Off to call again. Wish me luck!

Have had to shout! Both the letting agency and the maintenance guy feel that it is an acceptable situation for us to be like this til Friday. They're not even sending a plumber round to have a look til tomorrow, then he'll have to order the part, hoping it will arrive in time to be fitted on Friday. I think they understand that I do not find it acceptable ...
