Riverside Wildflowers
The bees were having a ball amongst the Vipers Bugloss along the Taylor River tracks. They were everywhere! An apiarist has a collection of hives in one of the farm paddocks alongside the tracks. The hives are well-placed being within a short distance from all these lovely pollen-bearing plants.
I do admire all those nature photographers who manage to get great close-up shots of bees crawling in and around flowers. Just how do they do it I wonder …? I do admire their skills. I was using my little Panasonic Travel Zoom camera as usual today. Perhaps I would do better with a DSLR and macro lens…
Anyway I did stop to admire the mauve Mallow flowers and Vipers Bugloss amongst the dried summer grasses.
