Balayage

Mixture of work and play Friday. Still feeling ill (I'm bored of writing this now) so found it hard to concentrate. Have been the queen of delegation this week.

Had my highlights sorted this afternoon (second time in a hairdressers this week, felt very pampered). According to the stylist my hair was looking 'dated'. So she used a new technique to colour it called balayage, which involves sweeping the colour into the hair underneath rather on the top. Whatever she did it looked great and was a real pick me-up.

Spotted an artist's pop-up exhibition on Deansgate on the way back and Tony Wilson smiling back at me, immortalised on canvas (see pic).

Grabbed a late lunch at Chorlton Brasserie and bumped into Laura and Sam. Then hot-footed it to pick Audrey up from nursery. She'd had a good day there today thankfully.

Early night again with my book as Angus is working (just started Hunger Games - late to the party or what?) and just hope I can shake this bug over the weekend.
